LFCCM 2024’s ten-day programme includes concerts at Hampstead Parish Church and St George's Bloomsbury, liturgical services at nearly 30 churches across London, and a particular focus on celebrating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Stephen Dodgson and highlighting new compositions submitted to the Festival's "Call for Scores" project.
There are more than thirty events in 2024’s Festival, including:
A concert of meditations on prayers for peace in times of conflict, featuring sacred music by Stephen Dodgson in his 100th anniversary year and Ronald Corp’s Dhammapada, a selection of Bhuddist scripture verses set to music for choir accompanied by pre-recorded bells and gongs.
A selection of the medieval “unicorn” tapestries, portraying key moments in the life of Christ, are accompanied by contemporary sacred music from the Festival’s “Call for Scores” project in this depiction of the journey from Christmas to Easter.
An innovative collaborative event that takes a journey into the world of music and movement, adding a fascinating new dimension to the traditional organ recital. Dance groups from London Contemporary Dance School are joined by organist Martyn Noble, Acting Director of Music at His Majesty’s Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace, in this presentation of new dance works accompanied by organ music submitted to the Festival’s “Call for Scores” project.
Contemporary organ music is featured in this delightful organ recital presented by students of The Royal College of Music Junior Department.

Enjoy contemporary music for voices and organ from the comfort of your own home by following our online streaming series LFCCM @ Home. New programmes this year include a re-broadcast of 2023’s “Blesséd Cecilia” gala concert.
There are also nearly thirty other choral services taking place during the Festival, featuring premiere performances of new music from “Call for Scores” and a Choral Compline focussing on new music by young composers.

About the Festival
The London Festival of Contemporary Church Music was founded in 2002 with the aim of showcasing contemporary liturgical music in both service and concert. Based at St Pancras Parish Church, London, the LFCCM has grown to include more than 50 events in venues across London and beyond, dozens of composers, hundreds of performers and thousands of audience members, both live and online.
