Iain Macfarlane

Iain Macfarlane is the organist at St Martin of Tours, Epsom. He was educated at The Glasgow Academy, where he first learnt to play the organ as a pupil of Bill Ritchie, and at Cambridge, where he was organ scholar at Trinity Hall and continued his organ studies with David Sanger. He has held positions as organ scholar at Bearsden North Church, Glasgow; as organ scholar at Guildford Cathedral; as organist and choirmaster at Crown Court Church of Scotland, Covent Garden; and, since January 2004, as organist at St Martin’s. He is a Licentiate of Trinity College London and a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists.
